We are the Rother Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Tenterden has a selection of cafes and shops, ( Toilets in Tesco are useful) , on a Sunday there’s on street parking or there is a car park called Bridewell Lane which is free on a Sunday. Join us in the High Street at the entrance to Bells Lane. We will take a walk along the High Street then off towards Reading Street along footpaths and fields, some road walking but some lovely views along the way. We will stop for a picnic enroute. Skirting near to Smallhythe , on then through fields and woods back towards Tenterden. There are several stiles and a bit of up and down but a pleasant walk.
A relaxed, pleasant walk with some hills and good views. No seating nor WC at picnic stop but I’m sure we can find a spot to sit down.
Buses do run to Tenterden but not sure where from and to.
Well behaved dogs on short leads are welcome.
We set off at 10am.
