We are the Epsom and Ewell Group of the Ramblers
Starting from Horton Country Park Car Park we will explore the delights of Epsom, Claygate Common and Ashtead Commons. The figure of 8 walk is largely on the flat but will pass via Winey Hill for views over London and include a lunch stop at Rushett Farm. The farm also runs a cafe. It will be a mix of paths, field walking and lane walking. The field walking can be muddy if there are periods of rain before the walk.
There are usually horses in the fields around Winey Hill.
There are a few road crossings during the walk. Horton Country Park Car Park has a toilet facility and usually hosts a van selling coffee, tea and snacks. There are no stiles on the walk.
Bring refreshments for a mid morning stop and a picnic lunch.
