Overview

Start at Birse and Feughside Church, we will take the community woodland path to the minor road. At the end of the road we turn sharp right to enter the south drive to Finzean Estate. On estate tracks continue on past South Lodge through open woodland with views over the estate, cross. the B976 at the Memorial and Standing Stones. Follow the marked track upward to Tom"s Cairn (310mtrs). Great views! Tom"s Cairn can be missed out for those not wishing to go to the top. We will retrace our steps to GR NO610941 and veer left down hill on a narrow footpath.  Descend Harry's Hill, turn left onto path at the edge of a field. At the road turn right, walk on road to junction for Finzean School, just beyond the school there is a community path which takes us back to the church and the Finzean Tearoom and shop.
