Overview

We take a back road to the Mon & Brecon canal and cross it at a lock bridge.  A gradual ascent through fields and meadows takes us to the foot of Tor y Foel.  Then, a steep climb to the top to admire the views.  Our descent follows a quiet road and fields to the canal, then a beautiful rocky path along the River Usk to return to the car park which is staggering distance to The Red Lion.
