Towcester circular

We walk from Towcester Brewery past Bury Mount, along the edge of the Easton Neston estate. We then head for Hulgate taking the turn northwards at a crossroads of paths towards Showsley Grounds from where we take the lane into Shutlanger. Our route continues on a path east via St Mary the Virgin church in Stoke Bruerne to the Waterside cafe for coffee / lunch. Crossing back over the canal we take the towpath along the Grand Union before cutting across country via Alderton and Heathencote towards Towcester. The walk ends along the A5 that runs into Towcester past the racecourse.
