Overview

Park in the car park off Fannys Lane at the west end of Upper Bucklebury take the right-hand fork as the main road bends left and Fannys Lane is 2nd right signposted Hopgoods Green. The car park is 0.3 miles on the left (nearest postcode is RG7 6SY, although that is further north along the road). A varied walk through mainly woodland, open fields, lanes and urban footpaths with good views of the Kennet Valley. The walk goes past Upper Bucklebury and then towards Colthrop Manor and down to the A4 around the edge of Thatcham returning around Bucklebury Common and back to the start via The Slade.
