Overview

This is a half-day walk lead by Susan and Stephen.
Upper Tean prides itself as a 19th century tape weaving centre using steam powered looms. It was also recorded in the Domesday Book as part of the Hundred of Totmonslow. We anticipate a northerly circular walk using a mixture of footpaths, tracks and lanes.  The intended route is through Huntley Wood to the outskirts of Cheadle and return via a disused railway track. There are some slightly awkward stiles, uneven ground  and inclines. Walking poles are recommended if you use them.
