A walk in the Vale of Belvoir with views of Belvoir Castle. From Woolsthorpe , we take a path to the hamlet of Stenwith, before climbing up towards the village of Barrowby. On a clear day there will be extensive views from near Barrowby church. On leaving Barrowby village there are good views of the Vale of Belvoir at Surprise View before descending to the Grantham Canal and then taking the Viking Way and Jubilee Way back to the starting point.
The walk is mainly on good paths and tracks but there are a couple of instances of wet and muddy fields.
There are two ascents on the walk. The climb up to Barrowby is quite steep for Lincolnshire. The second climb which is less steep is on the approach to the Viking Way near the end of the walk.
