Val's Meopham Green, Stansted and the Sweet Mile Circular

We start from the green in Meopham Green, with its windmill (currently being restored).  We then head through varied and undulating countryside to Ridley with its Angel, beautiful church, thatch-covered well and honesty box farm shed.  We continue to Stansted where we will stop on the playing fields for a picnic lunch and drinks-only at the Black Horse pub.  Then on to Hodsoll Street before returning to our start point.  There will be some walking on quiet country lanes.  Some fields have grazing sheep and possibly horses but there are very few stiles, instead quite a few kissing gates.

No shops along the route, so do bring a picnic.
