We are the Uttlesford Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
This walk is a scenic loop around the village of Ashdon. Starting at the Rose and Crown we head out of the village via Rectory Lane and past the Buddhist Meditation center. We traverse numerous fields with a couple of wobbly stiles thrown in. Highlights include the well-kept Mitchell’s Farm complete with ducks and the historic Roman road.
The pub is now under new management and providing more traditional fare. We will return to sample the landlord’s new offerings. Please arrive in time to order food before we leave. Hope to see you there.
