Overview

West Mendip Walkers moderate and varied 10 mile circular walk from Hemyock, the largest village on the Blackdown Hills AONB . Following footpaths and quiet country lanes and tracks with views across to the Blackdown hills and Upper Culm valley. We will stop for lunch at Dunkeswell Abbey, an ancient scheduled monument of National importance founded in 1201 as a Cistercian Monastery.  After lunch there is a section of open ridge walking with far reaching valley views. Likely to be livestock in fields and about 4 stiles all dog friendly.
