A walk full of interest. The route first runs through a Community Orchard, after this it follows the Grand Union Canal, linking up with the River Ouzel through beautiful parkland and quiet pastures.
Winding it's way around Campbell Park, including magnificent views from the Beacon Viewpoint perched on a hill.
The return half of the walk goes through Woolstone, and offers plenty of chances to enjoy the idyllic riverside scenery in Ouzel Valley Park. With an opportunity to see a site of the remains of a medieval village and associated fishponds.
Meet at 10am in the car park in front of Ye Olde Swan.
This route is entirely on surfaced paths, and pavement.
There are some slight inclines, and a short sharp climb to the Beacon.
