Overview

After a short bus ride to Trawsfynydd power station we will walk beside the lake to the dam. Good views of the Rhinogydd and Moelwyns may be seen from here. We then descend through the woodland following the gorge of Ceunant Llennyrch.

We take a steep little lane up the other side of the valley to make our way back to Maentwrog.

The paths will be very wet and muddy in places making them quite slippery. A rather decrepit stile needs a bit of agility to get over. The walk will be at a leisurely pace.

We have permission to park at the Oakeley Arms car park at the rear of the pub.

We will use the T2 bus which departs from the Oakeley Arms at 10.35. Allow plenty of time to park and walk to the bus stop which is just a few minutes walk. There are public toilets at the bus stop.

Refreshments may be had at the pub at the end of the walk.
