Overview

Starting from Northmoor Way in Wareham, we walk into Wareham Forest and circle round through Northport Heath, arriving back in Wareham on its East Walls.  After a circuit of the Walls and visiting Wareham Quay on the way, we return to the start. This walk is 6 miles long but can be shortened to 4.5 by leaving the walk before going along the East Wall.

There will be one short break about half way round.  We should be back by lunch time.  The walk is accessible by bus number 40 Poole/Swanage, alight Wareham station, and by train.   If using the bus or train, walk through the alley opposite the station bus stop to get to Northmoor Way.  There are toilets on Wareham Quay.
