We are the North Dorset Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
From Melbury Abbas this walk takes us on a long loop to Shaftesbury and back. The route uses mostly minor roads, but expect a couple of muddy footpaths, some of which will be new to most walkers. There are a number of short climbs and slow descents, including Gold Hill. Plus several stunning vistas (weather permitting) from Castle Hill & Park Walk.
