Much of the walk will be in dappled shade of tree cover and what is not offers wide ranging views of chalk downland.
We walk across Woodcuts Common where Pitt Rivers, grandfather of modern archaeology, discovered a Romano-British village. On past Scrubbity Barrows, along the Shire Rack (ancient county border), and finally back to the club house for a private lunch along Chase Avenue.
Hopefully the White Admiral and Dark Green Fritillary (it is bright orange!) butterflies will be displaying in the woodland glades.
Please book early so I can send you the lunch options as the clubhouse would like to know our choices a few days before we walk.
Lunch in Rushmore Golf Club clubhouse afterwards, coffee break only.
Registered Assistance Dogs only.
Booking opens at 10.00 12/06/24 and closes 10.00 25/06/24
