Circular walk via the Ridgeway, Wendover Woods and the Grand Union Canal. Lunch stop at Wendover Woods Cafe (which may be very busy) or bring own food. Two moderate climbs in the morning, mostly level in the afternoon. Map: E181, L65.
Check trains the day before. Buy return ticket to Wendover.
Wendover Station (Metropolitan line train from Aldgate at 09:48 (Amersham service), calling at Baker Street at 10:04 and Harrow-on-the-Hill at 10:25 and arriving at Amersham at 10:54. Change there for the Chiltern Railways Aylesbury service which departs Amersham at 11:03 and arrives at Wendover at 11:16)
