Overview

4.5 miles, easy, flat, 7 stiles. The walk goes through quiet lanes, farmland, villages, next to the River Brue and along the Coast Path at the mouth of the River Parrett, where there are pleasant coastal views.

Start time for the walk is 1:30 but, better still, come early with a packed lunch to eat at the Honesty Café (see below).

Meet at St Peter & All Hallows' Church, Church Road, West Huntspill, TA9 3RN. Inside this beautiful church is the Huntspill Hub Honesty Café, where there are plenty of tables. No food, but it is an ideal place to bring a packed lunch to eat before the walk, out of the November weather. Tea and coffee are available on a self-serve basis –donations will be appreciated. There are toilet facilities here. The Honesty Café is open 10 am to 4 pm so is likely be closed when we return.
