We are the Kingswood Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
The walk drops down into the valley and follows Broadmead Brook for about 2 miles, initially on a narrow path, before coming into open countryside. Climbing to a road back towards West Kington, then a bridle path to the church.
Note, that Broadmead Brook feeds into the By Brook which flows through Castle Combe and into the Avon at Bathford.
St Mary's Church, West Kington, SN14 7JE This could be quite a challenge to test everyone's navigation skills. On the A420, just after Marshfield turn left signposted West Kington. Follow to West Kington, about 2.4 miles, then into Wood Lane for about 0.5mile. Sharp left into West Kington Stud, follow the sign to Church (bear right when directed). You will go through the farmyard to the Church car park. The Church does not have a service on the third Sunday of the month.
