This walk goes from the village pond in Weston northwards to Welbury Farm. The outwards leg is via Church End and Hickman's Hill. We return along the Hertfordshire Way via Green End. Most of the walk is on firm ground but there may be some muddy stretches.
There is an ascent of about 50 metres from Welbury Farm to Green Grove which should be within the capabilities of most of our usual walkers.
The Cricketers pub in Weston is open on a Tuesday lunchtime (according to its website) and we plan to visit after the walk for refreshment.
Meet at the side of the village green near to the pond. There is plenty of parking space here and in nearby roads.
