We are the Stour Walking Group. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.

We start our walk in Wetherden, a village mentioned in the Domesday Book and walk along a quiet road to the charming village of Haughley which once had a motte and bailey castle. Leaving the village, we walk through open farmland to the pretty common land at Ward Green. We continue along an ancient lane to the village of Haughley Green where we pass the village air raid shelter. We wind our way through small woods and pastures back to Wetherden.
Parking is at Wetherden Village Hall. There's a team at football practice that day so we have been asked to park on the gravel (possibly on the right-hand side of the hall).
