In view of the weather forecast the route will be changed.
From the cars we descend cross the Goyt and ascend to Taxal church. From where we climb to Taxal Edge and down to Kettelshume. Then on to Whaley Moor past the dipping stones and down to Whaley Bridge. We ascend up to Todbrook reservoir, through Horwich End, back to Taxal church and acros the Goyt back to the cars.
Risk assessment: Crossing roads in Whaley Bridge but mainly tracks, farm fields, and a few stiles.
