The walk is mainly along fields, paths and tracks. Conditions underfoot good on the recce on 16th August. Livestock in some of the fields and route goes through a couple of farmyards. A few steep climbs on the route, however these are short and well-spaced. Some sections of road-walking. Final section is through bracken in places so walkers may prefer long trousers to shorts.
