We are the Mortimer Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Walk will circle Whitney Court although very distantly for most of the time. Initially we will head up to the dismantled railway and along the first section before heading up to The Vallets and around to Little Merthyr. Before zigzagging on to the Herefordshire Trail. We’ll follow this to Brilley and then up to Puckmoor Wood when we veer off towards Milton Hill and around to Michelchurch- on-Arrow, continuing on round and back to Milton Hill. We’ll then descend to Brilley Court Farm and down to Feney Ground Covert before passing below Whitney Court and back to the parking via the church.
If you use poles please bring them. A number of stiles as you might expect although only a few are useable but below par. Some road walking but they seem quiet. Travel along the old railway, along old tracks and in some woodland, will provide the usual tripping hazards and higher nuisances. But a lot to enjoy.
