A fairly easy ramble from Wick to Doynton via the Golden Valley nature reserve - once the site of a world famous ochre processing factory. It goes through the pretty village of Doynton, and passes close to Wick Court , a fine Jacobean grade 1 listed manor house.
There is one steep climb (via steps) near the start of the walk, plus stiles, a plank bridge and kissing gates. Mainly country lanes and farmland.

Otherwise, there is a track close to the pub, or a small layby further along the A420, going east. There is no on- street parking close to the pub.
