Overview

Reversed from original route: We walk from Wigpool Common across to the ridge above Drybrook quarry, with far-reaching northward views, weather permitting. We pass Bartleys Oak and walk down the lane towards Hope Mansell, then turn back by Harechurch Wood to skirt the end of the pretty Hope Mansell valley. After a steady climb we arrive back in Wigpool Common and glimpse Wig Pool itself.

There will be some wet muddy patches and poles may prove helpful if you have them.

Six stiles, some ascents but nothing too strenuous.
