Overview

Battle of Winwick Pass (or Red Bank) will be a walk covering elements of the English Civil war with a talk on the Siege of Warrington on 23 May 1643.

The route will cover a couple of battle fields and a talk at the Church St Oswald where parts of the battle took place.

There will be sections of road walking along with field tracks and paths with a stop at the local pub half way round for refreshments and Ian will be providing some details of the battle.

Approx. 9 miles with only a couple of small hills to climb.
