Overview

This walk starts at the picturesque port town of Wivenhoe, which is located on the banks of the River Colne and is opposite the village of Rowhedge (also situated on the bankd of the River Colne). The walk will then proceed up the River Colne towards Alresford Creek, before heading inland to the countryside and then circling across back to Wivenhoe .

When the walk has finished there will be the option to do a (modest) pub crawl of The Black Buoy, The Greyhound and The Railway in Wivenhoe.

The group walk at a steady pace of 2 – 2.5 miles an hour, and there is requirement of all walkers to respect the general pace.

Parts of the walk maybe damp, so walking boots / shoes are recommended. There will be a short stop on route for refreshments, so please bring snacks and a drink as appropiate for this.

Numbers are strictly limited and places need to be prebooked with the walk leader. Please pre book my contacting David - 07866 913446
