January's Wolf Moon is a supermoon this year. With clear skies we should be able to see on our way to Wivenhoe.
We follow the Wivenhoe trail from Colchester station via the Castle Park. It is a well maintained trail, easy to walk in the dark
Please bring a torch of some description, though hopefully we will be moonlit with no need for artificial light.
There will be an optional stop at a pub in wivenhoe at the end of the walk. There are trains and buses back to the Colchester station and beyond
Meet at the front of the main entrance to Colchester station. There is plenty of car parking there.
There are regular trains from wivenhoe back to colchester Town and onwards to London. Trains leave Wivenhoe station at 7 minutes past the hour to Colchester Town. Change there (10mins) for services to Colchester Main and the rest of the county
