Overview

Today’s evening walk takes us through the West Berkshire countryside and based around Woolhampton. Starting at Midgham station, we’ll head towards the A4 before briefly walking along it towards New Road Hill, which we’ll walk along to Angel’s Copse. Here, we’ll head along the footpath that takes us along the edge of Channel Wood before walking past the nearby Douai Abbey and to the edge of Beenham. Afterwards, we’ll start heading downhill towards Upper Woolhampton, where we’ll pass St Peter’s Church and head back down into Woolhampton to finish the walk at Midgham station. For those who want to go to the pub at this point, we’ll be stopping off at The Rowbarge for a pint, which is a short walk from the station.
