Overview

A pleasant hike up from the Thames through South-East London's parks and along wooded footpaths, taking in superb views of the City below. The route takes in some outstanding historic buildings including Eltham Palace, from where we follow the mysteriously named King John's Walk. At the end, weather willing, we can enjoy the al fresco delights of Beckenham Place Park, which is close to three railway stations.

There will be plenty of dropout points on this walk if needed.

Please bring a packed lunch.

Travel: Contacless/Oyster. Meet outside Woolwich Elizabeth Line station. Use TfL journey planner to arrive by the start time of the walk.
