Enjoy a walk through history. Worcester was the site of the first meaningful skirmish in the English Civil Wars and then, in 1651, The Battle of Worcester was the final battle of those wars. Our six mile walk will take us through the battlefield areas.
Starting from the Ketch Viewpoint, we cross the river on the bypass bridge and then walk across farmland until we reach the Powick Bridge. From there we follow the river Teme to where it meets the Severn and then head towards Worcester, crossing the river at the new Diglis Bridge and then walking back along the river to our start point.
Its a fairly flat walk and mostly easy going. However there are a number of stiles, some quite steep and it is also likely there will be cattle in one or two fields. Dogs on short leads are welcome but please note the comments about the stiles and cattle.
Bring refreshments for a snack break.
