Some parts of this pleasant forest-walk are on good firm paths but there are muddy sections and a number of ascents, including a short but very steep incline just after lunch. There are also a few stiles on the route. In view of the variable conditions on this walk my grading of it is `Moderate` (ie. I believe that a reasonable level of fitness is required).
Please wear appropriate footwear for wet/winter conditions, plus hats and gloves. Take walking-poles if used, and a sit-mat for the brief coffee/picnic lunch stops.

Free Parking but no toilets nearby nor on the walking route.
The car park entrance is on the B4194 (Dowles Road) about 2 miles after leaving Bewdley town centre. It is about a quarter mile after the post-code if using a satnav. It is on the right-hand side of the road if heading north from Bewdley. It is clearly signed `Hawkbatch` (in white letters) at the entrance.
