Overview

On this walk we visit three attractive villages – Colton, Bolton Percy and Appleton Roebuck – in that order, and pass the site of the medieval village of Steeton. Mostly we use field paths and tracks, sometimes following watercourses. This is attractive countryside on our own doorstep and it’s flat - the most severe climb on the whole walk is the flight of steps up to the footbridge over the railway.
