Overview

The first section of the walk heads south and climbs through fields to Llanbradach Fawr farm. The route heads S East with some urban walking before making for the ruined farm house at Gernau Ganol. Return is along part of the  Rhymney Valley Ridgway and a former railway track including the Hengoed/ Maesycymmer Viaduct.
