28 July - 5 August 2018
North Wales Ramblers invite you to join their Summer Walking Festival and discover the beauty of the countryside across six counties of North Wales.
The festival takes place from 28 July to 5 August with over fifty free group walks to choose from, suitable for all fitness levels.
Joanna Slattery, Chair of the North Wales Area of Ramblers Cymru said “Anyone who loves walking will know it’s the best way to discover the world around you – it could be an amazing secret view, a quirky old building tucked down a side-street, or simply a fantastic new walking route. We know lots of great routes and locations and want to share them with others.”
All the walks will be led by experienced, local volunteer leaders who look forward to sharing their favourite walks with you. Most are designed to be leisurely and suitable for families. There are short walks from 1.5 miles (see Tuesday 31 July - Deganwy to Llandudno) or if you’re looking for a challenge then on the final day we’ll be rambling up Cnicht and the Moelwyns.
Denis McAteer, Vice-President of Ramblers Cymru, added: “If you want to discover local places that are great for walking and get out and enjoy fresh air and the great outdoors in good company, come and join us on one of our walks. And bring your friends and family too - everyone is welcome!”
Your membership will give you access to hundreds of group walks every year, an online library of over 3,000 downloadable Ramblers Routes, as well as many other benefits. In North Wales alone there are around 600 led walks every year. In addition to walks, Ramblers volunteers help keep our footpaths open, help protect our beautiful countryside and campaign for improved access for walkers. Anyone joining a festival walk will be entitled to a discount on their first year’s membership.
