In Monmouthshire our staff team are working with Llanbadoc Community Council to create a geological trail. Working with volunteers from the community and the local Regionally Important Geological Sites (RIGS) Group, the plan is to create a trail that local people can use but local schools can also engage with. This trail will offer some excellent educational engagement, but also encourage walkers to explore the local paths of Llanbadoc.
We will also be looking to help equip the local Community Council with training and tools, but also an information board in the local hub to promote walking in the area and the work of Ramblers Cymru.
These walks are part of the Paths for People community walking project which is managed by Ramblers Cymru with funding from the People's Postcode Lottery.
