This walk is on tracks or broad paths. We walked it in 5 hours with stops for lunch and photographs. There are no styles. The route as described is accurate and easy to follow with one exception. At grid reference 860 595 ascend the valley side immediately. Our confusion at that point may also be attributed to low blood sugar level. The a 2km stretch of road walking prevents the award of five stars. An intriguing and varied walk.

Good varied walk through typical Wolds countryside with interesting stop off points at churches in Huggate and Fridaythorpe. Wayrham picnic site an excellent lunch point, but preceeded by lengthy road section on a not always quiet road (bordered by intriguing stone boundary posts!). Signposting a little vague at top end of Whisperdale. Led a group of 10 having previously seen walk in the magazine and checked it.
