Route Summary Ludlow was once described as the loveliest town in England by the late Poet Laureate, Sir John Betjeman, and this still holds true. This walk takes in the picturesque medieval castle and many of the town’s historic buildings.

I followed this short gentle walk on a sunny August morning. A step through history and the view over the river to the castle is magnificent. Noted that this was connected to CAMRA some years ago. I finished with a pint at The Church Inn, although I had walked passed many other good looking inns.
