Route Summary This circular walk explores river and countryside near the Roman town of Alcester. The route visits a 14th-century National Trust dovecote and passes the imposing Great Alne Mill, which may have inspired George Eliot’s classic The Mill on the Floss.

Easy to follow route, vegetation was fine, crops were passable. This is the second time I have walked route, it’s just so lovely.
