I find this a difficult walk to comment on. There are fine views both ways from the end point and eastwards for quite a distance before that. However it is a long way much of it climbing before one reaches the views. (The climbing is not difficult and the path is easy to spot. This needs to be weighed against the fact that the starting point is not on some obscure road but at a main line rail station, long distance coach stop, much better than average cover by local buses and is a minor detour from the main road so is very accessible way to reach a seemingly remote location. The lower level woods could be an interesting walk in themselves.
