This is a truly lovely walk. However the suggested route misses out on a visit to one of the best pubs in the country - The Bell at Aldworth. Also once in Aldworth take time to visit the church - and its 12th century giant sarcophagi. As you walk past the golf club, take a left up a footpath at Grid Ref: SU575814. This climbs over fields and then through a wood to reach the B4009. Turn right and then take a footpath to arrive at the back of The Bell. Have lunch here! Rejoin the main route by turning right out of the pub, and then taking the right hand bridleway at SU551804.
