Route Summary Forget the stereotype of Milton Keynes just being dual carriageways & roundabouts. This scenic walk passes a famous sculpture, a Roman villa, a secret garden, a deserted medieval village, the scene of a Royal kidnap and some beautiful countryside!

Not a bad walk but runs along some roads and buildings too much for my liking (I much prefer views of rolling fields) It's a great length, easy to walk and the directions are easy to follow however I'd like to mention two things. Firstly, the gloomy tunnel early on in the walk was quite daunting, I walked this route alone and felt unnerved crossing through it as it's neglected and dark. I was just a bit worried about meeting unsavoury characters. Secondly, when you follow the directions to Wolverton Park past the Reading Room and over the canal bridge you come down the steps of the bridge to face the canal, you must turn RIGHT here (I learnt this the hard way) I think the directions are given as if you are crossing the bridge and not when you are facing the canal, I found it slightly unclear. Stony Stratford is a pleasant place and a perfect place to stop and refuel for the rest of the walk.
