Set deep in the Ardnamurchan Peninsula there are opportunities for challenging long walks or more gentle strolls which still offer magnificent view of old pines.
The area around Glenfinnan offers several Forestry Commission short trails around the area. Visitor facilities are provided by the National Trust beside the famous viaduct and monument to Bonnie Prince Charlie. The main pinewood in Cona Glen is reached by a long walk along hill trails which offer some spectacular mountain scenery.
