The pinewoods surround the River Dulnain and stretch over to Kinveachy west of Carrbridge at the foot of the Monadhliath mountains.
This is a popular and accessible area for walkers and cyclists. National Cycle Route 7 leads into the forest. There are easy to follow but strenuous hill walks including the ‘Burma Road’ which leads to the A9 just south of Aviemore.
