Once in the park, take the path half left with the Diana Memorial Playground on your left. Bear left off the main path to go past the playground entrance, with the Elfin Oak in a cage on your left and the clocktower on your right. Turn right along the Broad Walk. As you come level with the Round Pond on your left and before you reach the large white statue of Queen Victoria, take the path through the hedge on the right to walk round two sides of the sunken garden to the diagonally opposite corner and down the steps. Turn left at the bottom to walk past the entrance to Kensington Palace and turn right on the main path that takes you to the gates out of the gardens. To avoid the steps from the garden, continue on round along the short side, turn left onto a broad walk and then left down a very bendy but gentle slope between bushes.
