Crossing the River Clyst - for the first time

Yew walk from Plymtree to Clyst Hydon and back by circular route

Starts at grade 1 listed church in Plymtree with its 1100 year old yew tree. It goes across farmland passing another grade 1 church in Clyst Hydon and returns via more farmland and a Woodland Trust copse. Mud possible - walking boots recommended.

Once out of Wiveliscombe, this walk is over fields, on tracks and green lanes. It does have quite a few stiles and one section through the quarry in Oakhampton Wood means a scramble or two. Views over the countryside are excellent.
