Fields, tracks and lanes. Morning meander of 5 miles from Purleigh via Stow Maries and Cold Norton. Afternoon loop of 4 miles takes in tracks around Purliegh and Hazeleigh. Picnic lunch at Purleigh Chruch, Playimg Fields, or Bell Pub. Option to stop at Purleigh Community Shop at end of walk for coffe, teas ice cream etc.

We will await the 10.40 train that leaves Stratford at 10.09. A circular walk through the town and countryside past small lakes to the River Chelmer. Lunch stop at Paper Mill Lock, café available, before returning through the fields. Estimated finish time: 15.30.

A walk between Burnham and North Fambridge

A riverfront walk on the Crouch.  A linear walk, but starting with a cheeky train trip from North Fambridge station to Burnham on Crouch station. Mainly level walking ground with views across to the south and west.

Station parking charge for the day is currently £4.90; single train ticket is £3.05 with a senior railcard, or within a Group ticket (3-9 people who must all travel on the same train).

The train is due to arrive at Burnham staion at 10.00 for those wishing to meet there. FYI the train stops at Althorne at 09.55.
