Our Wellbeing Walks group is based in the lovely Maldon, enjoying the town’s beautiful open spaces. We offer regular weekly walks that are relaxed, accessible, and completely free, making it easy for anyone to join—whether you’re new to walking, returning to activity, or simply looking for company.
Each walk is sociable and supportive, led by trained volunteers who make sure everyone feels comfortable and included. We explore much‑loved local spots like Promenade Park and quieter neighbourhood routes, always going at a gentle pace where no one is left behind.
In addition at Ongar, we have a Men’s Walk and Talk session every Monday from 4-5pm at a lovely little nature reserve owned by Epping Forest District Council located just 2 miles from Ongar Leisure Centre. It has free parking and a metalled 1mile looped path around the perimeter of the reserve. It is open for men aged 18+ that may be living with feelings of loneliness, isolation or low mood, or anyone who would just to come and have a relaxing chat while getting some exercise and making new friends. There are plenty of benches for anyone who might like to sit in peace for a while. We usually do 2-3 laps depending on how the session goes.
Walking with our group is a great way to boost your physical and mental wellbeing, meet friendly people, and enjoy the outdoors in a safe, encouraging environment. We look forward to seeing you!
