Overview

Active Over 65s

A brand new wellbeing group at Watchtree Nature Reserve, kindly funded by Active Cumbria and Sport England to reintroduce over 65s to physical activity through walking and cycling.

We will meet weekly on Friday's at 10am and a member of the Watchtree Team will take the group of led walking sessions to get us started.

Then, once we all know each other a bit better and are starting to feel comfortable, we'll move to cycling, using our Wheelers hire fleet of accessible bikes. Once again, a member of Watchtree Team will lead the sessions and guide the group in their cycling activities.

The sessions will last approximately an hour and the distances we walk or cycle will depend on the needs and abilities of the group.

So come along and get back to gentle excercise and movement together in a welcoming environment!
